Site Updates / Web Logs  @  JerseyJeeps.net

Added Andy's Page to the site, which will include pictures for Andy while he is stationed in Iraq, since he can't view or download attachments over there.  Andy also owns an '86 CJ-7, so the first thing I put up there is the pictures from the engine swap we did on his CJ January 2006.

Added pictures and a video from a Wheeling Trip on Feb 17th w/ Glenn and his 1985 CJ-7.  Also removed the old Jeeps in the Current Jeeps section, redid a lot of the headers, and revised the index page.  Still lots more work to do!

WOW!  It's been close to three years since I have last updated the site.  Every Jeep featured on here has either been sold or junked, and there are at least 8 more Jeeps to tell you about, and a few other cars, too.  The good news is that I bought a house with 35x30 garage, and the Jeep Habit is still strong as ever.  I will now go through the site as I have time and get the rest of the Jeeps up here, and add a lot to the Wheeling section, then document some other stuff too.  Look for a lot more once the revitalization of this site begins!

Looking at the site today, I realized that one of my past Jeeps never made it on the site.  Its a 1977 CJ-7 that I bought for $200.  It was very rusted and hadn't run in 5 years.  Check it out in the Past Jeeps section (#14) and then read about how we got it home without a clutch and cut it up for parts.

Its been a little while since I have updated the site.  Between finishing the 85 CJ Project and moving into the new house, it has been crazy here at Jersey Jeeps.  I added some new pictures of the 85 Ice Blue OEM restoration, which is finally starting to look like a Jeep again.  After I finish it and take it to the show, I am going to take some time off from the Jeeps and enjoy the summer and new house/garage.  So if you don't see much new around here, it is for a reason.  I need a break before starting things up in the fall.

 5/1/03

Added a new picture of the CJ-YJ project Jeep, which shows the new paint.  I just got this Jeep back from the paint shop, where it was painted inside and out the factory color Ice Blue Metallic.  This Jeep will be finished by June and I plan to enter in the PA Jeeps All Breeds Jeep Show in York, PA in July.  It is the most extensive restoration I have attempted to date and will have taken over 2 years to complete.  This Jeep is also for sale, so email me if interested.

 4/25/03

Removed the 1986 Dark Blue CJ-7 from the Current Jeeps section, as it was finished in mid April and then sold.  The buyer drove this Jeep to Indiana from my place in NJ.  You can still see it in the Jeeps for Sale section where it will remain until I get around to calling it a "Past Jeep."

 3/10/03

Added the 1986 Dark Blue CJ-7 to the Jeeps for Sale section.  This Jeep will be listed on Ebay in April, but can be purchased now through this website.  I also moved the 1980 CJ-7 to the Current Jeeps section, where it will get a teardown and transplant instead of selling it as is.

 2/27/03

Moved two Jeeps that I have no longer have over to the Past Jeeps section, a 1984 Renegade that was sold to Pennsylvania, and a 1985 Renegade that I cut up for parts.    The story of the '85 has some good pictures if you like to look at how bad some CJs deteriorate here in the Northeast.  Check out how nasty the frame was, among the worst I have ever seen.

 2/25/03

Added a recently purchased 1986 Jeep CJ-7 to the Current Jeeps section.  It is very clean for its age and the only '86 I have ever seen with Deep Night Blue as the factory color.  Plus being an end of run '86 w/ Dana 44 and good options is all the better.   Right now I am going over it, rebuilding the carb, and re-sealing all the floor seams.  Look for it for sale Spring 2003.

 2/23/03

Added my 1989 Jeep Cherokee to the Current Jeeps section.  I bought this Jeep for $800 back in May 2002, yeah it took a while to put it on the site, but the renewed interest came from some serious snow-wheeling we did during the February snowstorms of 2003.

 2/20/03

Added some pictures to the Off-Road section from the February winter storm that dumped up to 29 inches of snow in our region.  Luckily I had an (insured) Jeep on the road to enjoy it, my 1989 Cherokee.  Since its a beater, I had a lot of worry-free fun blasting through 4 foot snow drifts and thrashing in the woods.  Only damage was a loose muffler and some new scratches.

 2/15/03

Added Readers Ride #16, a very clean 1974 Jeep CJ-5 Renegade.  Thanks to Bill O'Brien from Hoboken, NJ, for sending it in.

Updated the links section to include more technical information from the Off-Road.com website.  For great help on troubleshooting your CJ gauge and emissions problems, click here.

 1/05/03

Added Readers Ride #15, a 1979 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle.  Jason hails from Indianapolis, Indiana and is only 16 years old.  He already has an impressive list of mods on his Jeep, and if you look close, you'll see another original Golden Eagle in the background.
